Column #325      November 26, 2021Newton's Cradle

There’s few things more certain in life than an action causing a reaction. When it comes to actions and reactions most of us think of our high school physics classes where we learned about Newton's Three Laws of Motion. (1) In order for the motion of an object to change, a force must act upon it. (2) There are calculable relationships between acceleration, force, and  mass. (3) Any time a force acts from one object to another, there is an equal force acting back on the original object.1

But do you realize that the forces of actions and reactions extend far beyond the physical world. Here’s a viewpoint from The Laws of the Universe. “In every waking moment we are creating and altering our lives. Our present situation and future is and will be a product of our thoughts, our visualizations, our intentions, our emotions, our feelings, our beliefs, our attitudes, our expectations and what we will (or will not) allow ourselves to experience shapes your life.”2

Another viewpoint comes from Napoleon Hill’s great work “Think And Grow Rich.” His masterpiece was based on 25 years of analyzing successful people. The main points he stresses are one’s success is based on their thoughts, desires, faith, knowledge, imagination, and for being a decision maker and person of action who surrounds himself with like-minded people. Sex, the subconscious, and fear are also factors in their success. Consciously and positively working on these principles is how people can bounce back from defeat and/or grasp and utilize opportunities as they appear.3

For more than 20 years I’ve been writing about how one’s diet impacts their health. What we eat is just another action that has a reaction. Sugar, foods high in Omega-6 essential fatty acids (EFAs), carbohydrates, processed foods, and nutritionally deficient whole foods make up the bulk of the Standard American Diet which is really SAD. Of course, the reaction to SAD is obesity, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, IBD, asthma, dementia, and an additional hundred or more chronic diseases.

In the past 18 months I’ve written about other actions and their resulting reactions. That’s been my reaction to the actions so many Americans have exhibited in believing everything the federal government, MSM, oligarches, and “sophisticated” educators have been telling them.

The Founding Fathers’ original concept for the central government was for it to establish laws for a civil and prosperous society, organize public works, maintain freedom by protecting citizens against foreign invasion or domestic violence, and to conduct foreign relations with other states and international organizations. The most important aspect of the new governmental structure was the restrictions on what the government could not infringe on. Personal freedom was of paramount importance with the citizens being the kings.

For all their supposed schooling (indoctrination), the elites seem to think an enlightened government is the answer to all problems. They don’t seem to fully understand the reactions that result from government actions. They think people will just go along with their plans and be delighted to have intelligent people ruling their lives. The elites don’t understand that a trillion dollars given to one segment of the population, comes from all of the other segments. They believe the government earns money from investments like paying people not to work. But governments do not produce anything so it’s never the government’s money it gives away.

In just the past 18 months the drastic actions of our government have had some dramatic reactions. Shutdowns destroyed small businesses and threw people out of work and kids out of school. The government printed up trillions of dollars and gave them to workers who received more dollars not to work than they used to get when they were working. Payments were given to parents for each child. Rent and mortgage payments were suspended.

The reaction was that the demand for goods and services increased as people produced less. That caused prices to soar as businesses struggled to manage the chaos.

A steady stream of new restrictive global warming regulations (that impact vehicles to food) have not only hampered oil and gas companies but many businesses. The reaction is increasing prices. Vaccine mandates for vaccinations have caused unvaccinated workers and burned out workers to quit their jobs, ramped up uncertainty which increases risks, and discouraged investment. The reaction is fear.4 5

The gendarmes (FBI) and governments generally, MSM, social media, oligarchs, large businesses, educators, and snitches have been working overtime in suppressing conservative speech with intimidation, cancel culture, firings, and shaming. Those in power have constantly flaunted the insane woke ideas—even with living examples. Their emphasis on racial strife is another mysterious action. The unwillingness of the Democrats to investigate the claims of voter fraud is another action. The reactions to all these actions have been fear, loathing, division, and a complete collapse in trust.

The reactions to the government’s actions—supported by the MSM, educators, and oligarchs—are higher prices, business dislocations, shortages of workers, goods and services, divisiveness, and declining confidence. Yet the government’s solution is more printing and spending. The DC crowd has spent more than $11 trillion in stimulus, which is 50% of GDP, over the last 18 months. It’s so desperate to spend more money it wants to give $450,000 to each illegal immigrant who was separated from their children after entering the country. It wants to pass a $1.75 trillion package to fight climate change and expand the social safety net. They say their actions will make people happy especially after prices come down. Obviously, the same policymakers whose actions created the mess aren’t backing down.

The Fed, printed more than $4 trillion to answer the shutdowns, but it can’t print new workers that want to work. It spent $120 billion per month on quantitative easing and has kept interest rates at zero. The reaction has been a lethargic, highly stressed economy and a stock market that’s more overpriced today than at anytime in its history. This has set the stage for a stock market reaction that may be similar to 1929 to 1932 rather than the more mild setbacks of 1966 to 1980, 2000 to 2002, and 2007 to 2009. Financial risks have never been higher. For certain we are living in interesting times.

There are always reactions to actions. Unfortunately, really ignorant actions can result in reactions that earn Darwin awards. Let’s hope we can make our government great again before the buffoons in charge take us all down. Everyone needs to contact their representatives, especially those who have representatives who are voting for the actions that have caused our current problems.6

During the next few weeks and months of continuing chaos, keep in mind that the primary goal of the current government is to make the citizens beg for more government. That’s the only way they’ll be able to stay in power.

To your health.
