What you say? The middle and upper-middle class get wiped out!?!?! And it only takes a couple of months? It’s like zap? Today the younger ones are focused on spoiling their kids, working at their professions, and taking their vacations while the elder citizens are enjoying their retirement. Then zap, in midstream while enjoying the good life, it’s no more?

Sounds crazy I know. And if it does, then I urge you to take a gander at the big picture. Please, now is the time. I simply urge everyone to wake up, set aside some time, and watch three videos about world history. As the saying goes, “History doesn't repeat itself, but it does rhyme.” And if it rhymes it’s mandatory for you to be ahead of the curve rather than be a victim of complacency.

Throughout history there are thousands of examples of societies in all corners of the world where middle and upper-middle class citizens have been wiped out. By wiped out I mean they’ve been reduced to poverty by warring factions inside their countries, genocide, relocation, loss of savings, or the confiscation of their property. It has occurred in one form or another throughout human history and as recently as 20 times or so during our twenty-first century. It’s old hat but not old fashioned.

I know this sounds like crazy talk, but it’s crazy only if you don’t know your history. That’s because it’s a fact that history tends to repeat itself. And when it comes to certain classes of citizens being wiped out, there are warning signs. The Bible is full of examples. Modern history books are filled with examples. And the signs of change follow a similar pattern, which means for those who know their history it’s possible to foresee and possibly alter the outcome.

Today, America’s middle class and upper-middle class citizens are focused on selfish objectives because they are mostly content with their status quo. They don’t want to rock the boat. They tend to forgive trespasses, deviant behavior, and just want to get along because stirring the pot isn’t worth it. Yet by avoiding their personal homework they can set themselves up for unexpected consequences that could have been avoided.

The United States has had 245 glorious years. But during those years our country had its share of internal conflicts and financial challenges. Within our own borders many middle class and upper-middle class citizens have been reduced to poverty by warring factions, genocide, relocation, confiscation of property, currency devaluations, and financial crashes. All these various atrocities have occurred more than once!

Therefore, I’m pleading with everyone to watch these educational, yet captive and entertaining, videos that review history like it’s coming from a machine gun. Pull the videos up on your big screen smart TV and watch them instead of your normal shows. They are that good.

In this first video, after Jack Hibbs gives a very brief introduction, American writer-historian William Federer hits the ground running! His talk will keep you glued to your TV through 2,500 years of world history in a very fast-paced 60 minutes.
Socialism: The Real History, From Plato to the Present by William Federer

In his next video, a three-part set of 20-minute videos, William Federer gives an overview of Islam's history. He also explains what you need to know about it, why it matters to us today, and how it helps explain current world events related to Islam. It’s a typical Federer fast-paced, riveting delivery of a lot of information in a very short time.

The last video is only six minutes long but it’s haunting. JP Sears rubs some people the wrong way, but this video is not him, it’s a voice over sketch by The Draw Shop that illustrates some very interesting historical points. As you watch it, listen for the sound of the train. It’s certainly haunting and the most haunting part is the discussion between a man and a woman about singing in church while the train rolls by.

When was the last time you contacted your elected representatives? What activities do you condemn, yet have tolerated? Do you actively reach out in your community and let others know your beliefs? Or are you afraid to stand your ground? At the end of each video you are asked a question. How will you answer? Will you even have an answer?

To your health.
