Ham with a Great Glaze

My family and friends enjoyed this ham for the holidays and wanted the recipe. Serve with your favorite sides and salad.

Ingredients

5 lb Smoked or Fresh Omega-3 Ham (Regular cut or Spiral cut)
½ cup water or pineapple juice
½ cup honey
¼ cup unsalted butter
2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground cloves
8 rings of pineapple (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (176 degrees C).
Line a roasting pan with foil
Place ham into the pan and pour the water or pineapple juice into the bottom of the pan.
Bake the ham and keep it covered until the glaze is added.
Fresh takes 15-20 minutes per pound.
Smoked takes eight to nine minutes per pound.

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, add honey, butter, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, cinnamon, and ground cloves. After ingredients have melted and combined, simmer for two to three minutes.

Near the end of the baking step, remove the ham from the oven and pour the glaze sauce over the top of the ham. Place pineapple rings (optional) on top and return to oven, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until honey caramelizes and turns golden brown.

Enjoy.
