Column #369      September 23, 2022Let’s Avoid the Deceptions

Bill Gates is incredibly rich and, like what happens to so many people who have gained great wealth, he is afflicted with the holier-than-thou syndrome. It’s a mindset where no matter the topic he assumes he’s the smartest man in the room, or soon will be, after he “studies” the situation. His inter-circle entourage always tells him he’s right while praising him profusely—reinforcing his pride and confidence.1

But wealth doesn’t always translate into knowledge and wisdom. Quite often great wealth comes from an intense focus, lots of hard work, a little luck, being in the right place at the right time, and connections more than being a genius that knows a lot about everything. And the personal attributes that create great wealth in one field do not easily transfer to vastly differing professions—especially when a person becomes totally disconnected from the realities of real life. For instance, living in a mansion complex where the main house is 66,000 square feet is certainly a disconnect from the average Joe and reality.

But Gates, like many who believe they’re almost godlike, think they can hobnob with Jeffrey Epstein on the one hand and the Royal Family on the other—as long as those folks are rich and famous. Bill has also been known to being quite the womanizer throughout the years—even after he was married to Melinda. Like so many excessively rich moguls, he doesn’t respect others while demanding respect.2 3 4

Based on the wealth generated by Microsoft’s success, in 1995 Bill established an independent investment company named Cascade Investment LLC. Then in 2000, jointly with Melinda, Bill setup the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The foundation grants money for a wide variety of philanthropic endeavors. For example, it buys and distributes vaccines to needy people. It promotes healthier lifestyles, especially for rich people and the planet, such as promoting vegetarianism and the elimination of meat from the food supply.5 6 7

Cascade Investment has billions of dollars invested in farmland, processors of artificial meats, pharmaceutical companies, and other businesses that will profit handsomely from the philanthropic endeavors. It will also profit handsomely as Gates converts the world’s population into believing in his visions.

Judy Cho has an interesting take on Bill Gates. In her blog she wrote: “Now I’m not a computer tech mogul billionaire turned philanthropist + public health expert + pharmacist + nutritionist + climate change expert and farmer, but I am a bit wary. How did he become the leader and top influencer in what medicines or foods we should be taking and consuming?” Then she dismantles Gates beliefs with—well . . . science.8

Her answer is the same as mine. Gates is clueless when it comes to the actual science of food production and nutrition. He has an idealistic, woke approach where incantations and arm waving trump actual scientific facts. There are two main, critical points where he’s dead wrong.
●    When it comes to raising food, raising livestock in their natural settings (grass-fed beef) is as natural as rain. On the other hand, farming is far from natural and therefore a much greater burden on the planet’s environment.
●    In terms of nutrition, imitation meats are a highly processed food that are nutritionally deficient compared to the near nutritional perfection of real meat.

In 2020, Stephan van Vliet and his team of researchers wrote “Impossible to go Beyond Beef? A Nutriomics Comparison.” Their study can be summed up with this one sentence: “Metabolomics revealed a 90% difference in nutritional profiles [between] beef and a popular plant-based meat, many of which can have important consumer health implications.”9 10

Many billions of people have been taken in by Gates and others like him who push narratives that will not pass the test of time. I’ve written many columns and essays about the actual science. But the elitists, globalists, Great Reset folks, MSM reporters, fanatical liberals and equally fanatical right wingers, and other witless wonders continue to push deceptive, senseless, and destructive advice on the masses nonstop.

Unfortunately the nuttiness has also infected healthcare, vaccines, national borders, money, private property, free speech, what children are taught, security, privacy, and more. Consequently, when all the strange woke ideas are added to the mix, I think we’re dealing with more woke nonsense than at anytime in the history of mankind. Its destructiveness goes way beyond just the health and general well-being of all people and the planet. It’s destroying civilized society.

To your health.
