Bacon Cheese Bratwursts

Great idea for appetizers or served as a main dish with a salad.

Ingredients

5 Uncooked Omega-3 Fresh Pork Bratwurst (about one pound)
Lykens Valley Creamery Raw Milk Grass-Fed Meadowrella Cheese
10 slices of Omega-3 Pork Bacon
Optional: chopped jalapeno pepper

Preparation

1. Slice each bratwurst lengthways, but not all the way through.
2. Cut cheese the length of the bratwurst about ¼ of an inch thick.
3. Place the cheese in the bratwurst where you made the slit. Optional: add chopped jalapenos with cheese.
4. Wrap each bratwurst with two pieces of bacon.
5. Use a greased cooking sheet and place wrapped bratwursts on a metal rack to allow bacon grease to drip below the bratwursts. Bake at 350° F for 20 minutes. Turn bratwursts and cook till bacon is crispy.
