Crispy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

A new spice idea for air-fried or oven-roasted chicken. It’s better tasting than any restaurant chicken that I have tried. This recipe is also versatile in that one can use drumsticks, thighs, or breasts.*

Ingredients:
2.5 pounds wings halved at joint
1 Tbsp. baking powder
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp paprika
2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
4 to 6 cloves of garlic
5 Tbsp. unsalted butter
4 to 6 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

1. Position oven rack in the upper third of the oven. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. Line baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top of foil. Spray cooking oil on wire racks so the wings do not stick.
3. Pat wings dry with paper towels. Combine baking powder, salt, garlic powder, pepper and paprika in a bowl.
4. Sprinkle seasonings on both sides of wings and place on racks skin side up.
5. Bake wings for 28 to 35 minutes. Flip after 18 minutes.
6. Garlic Parmesan mixture: add butter, garlic, ¼ tsp salt and parsley then microwave until butter melts. To make extra dipping sauce, triple recipe for the mixture.
7. Place wings in large bowl and pour garlic Parmesan mixture over them. Toss to coat and sprinkle the Parmesan on top and toss again.

Serve with salad and french fried sweet potatoes.

Air Fryer: preheat air fryer to 400 degrees. Bake for 16 to 22 minutes and flip half way through. Cook in batches.

* This recipe can be used on drumstick, thighs and or breasts. Cooking time with vary depending on the thickness of the meat cut.
