For years I’ve been puzzled about why there is so little support from the CDC, NIH, and medical community generally for using nutrition to confront chronic disease symptoms. Since 1999 I’ve read hundreds of peer-reviewed studies that explain how various chronic diseases can be suppressed with a proper diet. The first report I remember reading was “Essential Fatty Acids in Health and Chronic Disease” by Dr. Artemis P Simopoulos. In it she stated that a diet with a 1:1 weighted balance of Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids can positively address a long list of chronic diseases.

Here’s a short quote: “Studies indicate that a high intake of Omega-6 fatty acids shifts the physiologic state to one that is prothrombotic and proaggregatory, characterized by increases in blood viscosity, vasospasm, and vasoconstriction and decreases in bleeding time. Omega-3 fatty acids, however, have antiinflammatory, antithrombotic, antiarrhythmic, hypolipidemic, and vasodilatory properties. These beneficial effects of Omega-3 fatty acids have been shown in the secondary prevention of coronary heart disease, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and, in some patients with renal disease, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn disease, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.”1

In the past 20 years there has been a spattering of medical professionals who have been “curing” the “incurable” chronic diseases with nutrition. In 2003, Terry Wahls, M.D., was diagnosed with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis and soon became dependent upon a tilt-recline wheelchair. She tried all the standard medical options and they failed. Desperately she tried diet. Some months later she was riding a bicycle and giving talks about how to “cure” Multiple Sclerosis. Of course, instead of being hailed as a genius, she has been marginalized by the medical establishment and “footnoted” by internet sensors even though her protocol works. Why hasn’t her protocol been adopted by the medical community? Is it because it involves supplements and diet rather than drugs and operations?2

In 2015 I wrote about Dr. Dale E. Bredesen’s protocol for reversing Alzheimer's Disease. In 2014 he had submitted a report to the NIH requesting funding for a much larger study than the small, very positive study he had completed. The funding never materialized. A little later he started his own clinic called Apollo Health. Isn’t it strange that the NIH had no interest in a successful Alzheimer's Disease protocol that successfully uses inexpensive supplements and whole foods rather than drugs and operations that always fail?3 4

Over the years I’ve written many articles about how proper nutrition will suppress this or that named chronic disease. All of the stories are very similar to the two examples just provided. When the diet changes to low glycemic whole foods that are nutrient dense and diverse with 1:1 balances of the essential fatty acids many chronic diseases disappear. The best foods meeting those nutrient needs have always been grass-fed meats, wild-caught seafood, and Omega-3 meats.

After COVID-19 arrived on the scene in late January 2020, we learned a great deal more about the medical industrial complex which is now 18% or our nation’s economic activity. It’s now very clear why Americans have to spend so much money to stay alive? The powers-that-be do not want to reduce that huge financial burden.

I believe that if nutrition was marketed (just like drugs and operations are marketed by Big Pharma, hospitals, and doctors) healthcare costs could drop to about 8% of our nation’s GNP. The GNP is currently $21.6 trillion, so a $2.1 trillion reduction in living costs would be like a huge tax cut for all citizens coupled with a much healthier society. The benefits would be astronomical and a thousand times better than the Build Back Better fiasco. But, from what we’ve learned in the past two years, we are fighting an enemy within.

Prior to the November 2020 election, Big Pharma cut roughly 4,500 checks to 356 lawmakers, for roughly $11 million in campaign giving, distributed from the political action committees affiliated with the companies. Obviously, just like the sugar industry, Big Pharma wants to influence lawmakers for their singular benefit. That’s disturbing especially when we learn about the corruption that’s detailed in two recently published books: “The Real Anthony Fauci” by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and “A Plague Upon Our House” by Scott W. Atlas M.D.5 6 7 8

Now when it comes to discussing the corruption involving the medical industrial complex, this is where the prominent mainstream types start accusing folks of believing in conspiracy theories. They also strive to cancel everyone who ridicules the efficacy and safety of the new Messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines. (Just recently the developer of the mRNA vaccine technology was cancelled by Twitter for his criticism.)

Often vaccine critics are accused of being anti-vaxxers. The MSM and internet are full of those debunking stories. But the mRNA vaccine complaints have nothing to do with anti-vaccine nonsense. It’s about the worst kind of corruption imaginable which is harmful vaccines, underhanded methods of approval, and the restrictions on using therapeutics such as Hydroxychloroquine, Chloroquine, and Ivermectin.9

I haven’t finished reading Kennedy’s 445-page book yet. It’s obviously not a fairy tale because each of its 12 chapters has an average of about 100 footnotes. Kennedy, a Democrat, outlines a level of corruption involving Tony Fauci’s CDC, other government agencies, politicians, Big Pharma, universities, the medical establishment, and even prestigious medical journals that would compete with the best crime-story novels. Kennedy reviews Fauci’s handling of the AIDS epidemic where Fauci basically banned the use of generic therapeutic drugs that would prevent death while telling doctors to wait on a new vaccine. When the vaccine finally arrived, it did not work and, to this day, there isn’t a vaccine for AIDS. While HIV-infected people waited in vane for Fauci’s vaccine, tens of thousands of them died of AIDS because of Fauci’s CDC dictates and restrictions on the use of therapeutics. Does that sound familiar?

If you think this is made up conspiracy drivel, then you should read Kennedy’s book or at least read Leslie Eastman’s review of Kennedy’s book. Then follow that up by watching Ron Paul and Rand Paul, both medical doctors, discuss how our government and the medical industrial complex have worked hand in hand to keep Americans amongst the unhealthiest people on the planet.10 11

Fauci is so fanatically committed to supporting the growth of the medical industrial complex he lets people die. Robert Kennedy states that, worldwide, Fauci has callously allowed millions of people to die rather than emphasize the “importance of identifying safe, effective and affordable therapies that can provide immediate help to those who are sick.” Since this is what has taken place in the past and is ongoing today, it’s no wonder nutrition is ignored in our nation’s “official medical advice.”12

When it comes to understanding actual nutritional requirements for optimizing health, our nation’s doctors remain mostly ignorant. Oh, they can regurgitate the USDA’s MyPlate nonsense which professional nutritionists have been ridiculing for decades. But easily 99% of them can’t explain the importance of a 1:1 balance of essential fatty acids which is very basic, but required nutrition knowledge.

There’s a reason for this general ignorance. A couple of decades ago a medical doctor told me about his experience in getting board certified to practice medicine. He had an undergraduate degree in biology. Then as he was going to medical school he was fortunate enough to spend some time working extensively with nutritional experts. When it came time to take the four-test sequence of the United States Medical Licensing Exam, which is required for any doctor to obtain a license to practice medicine in the United States, he said he had to “lie” in order to pass the test.

He had to phoney up his answers on the test because the approved treatments the experts required, for treating chronic diseases, were to use drugs and operations. Yet he knew full well that the majority of chronic diseases are body failures caused by diet, lifestyles, and environmental conditions. He also knew that to address the causes of chronic disease, rather than the symptoms, it couldn’t be done with drugs and operations. A cure actually requires a change diets, lifestyles, and environmental exposures. Obviously, when it comes to chronic diseases, what most doctors know are lies rather than the cures.

Our government and the medical industrial complex do not want a healthy America. They want desperate medical consumers. For about 70 years now they have been outrageously successful. Their advice, constant advertising, and drugs and operations for treating symptoms rather than causes have resulted in an ever increasing rate of disease—decade after decade. Just look at the obesity rates since 1950. It’s shocking how fat people are today. Yet they are doing what they’ve been taught and advised to do.

When it comes to nutrition, Americans must be self-taught just like the doctor who had to lie on the tests in order to get a passing grade. Amazingly, as referred to above, when using diet and lifestyles for improving health, the savings will be enormous. And it won’t create a new industrial complex. The farming and ranching communities will just change what they grow by switching crops. The stores will still offer a wide variety of food products. The change won’t mean more expensive food because a higher volume of better whole food products will bring their costs down. The only industry that will experience a big change will be the medical industrial complex.

The beneficiaries of doing away with the enemies within will be America’s citizens. Will the people rise up and demand change? That can only happen if the messages the masses hear changes from the deceptions they are being subjected to on a daily basis. In the interim, it’s up to those of us who know better to be proactive by setting good examples and being more vocal.

To your health.
