Safe Spaces
Column #68
Requiring a safe space is a chronic disease symptom.
A college biology and critical thinking professor responded to my “Fake News” column and wrote: “I am disgusted by your bias against the truth. Such phrases as ‘Google goose-stepping behind President Obama’ makes your political bias clear. I won’t want to have any of my money end up supporting such nonsense. I would have recommended that you stick to supplying healthy food and skipped ranting.”
Another customer wrote: “I am so sick of being lied to about nutrition by the government for 40 years, and raising my kids by religiously complying with false info, I could spit. Don’t you realize you are missing out on millions in lost revenue by not filling your site with supplements, miracle herbs, weight loss magic potions, ‘vitamins,’ and so forth like most other food, nutrition and diet sites? :-) Nobody gets rich selling real food. :-( Thanks for running your business on truth, not hype.”
The professor, also student government advisor, focused on “goose stepping” and said I have a “bias against the truth.” The second customer knew exactly what I was talking about and doesn’t want any more “help” from governments or Big Business.
Should I be limited to only supplying healthy food? Or should I be able to air my trials and tribulations about why it’s nearly impossible to make a living selling the world’s healthiest meats?
Early on in my fifty-year business career I learned the nine most terrifying words one can hear: “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” Government is also notoriously slow to change its impractical dictates and enforcement is goose stepping to me. So, no matter which party is in office, I don’t want government to start dictating truth or fiction.
There are highly competent professionals in government service including nutritional scientists. But truth doesn’t always prevail because for decades official government positions can fill “news outlets” with their politically correct stance that buries truth.
Most college professors and teachers are government employees with basically “cradle-to-grave” jobs that don’t require them to create products, invest capital, pay employees, fund bad times, develop a customer base, and spend years supplying sweat equity. But that’s what I did without work related benefits, paid vacations, or a generous retirement program.
My business is raising and marketing the world’s healthiest meats. Unlike some “health food” marketers I’m 100% science based with products restricted to being true to the cause. I compete with addictions, disbeliefs, myths, the government’s MyPlate diet, medical community advice, health food industry schmooze, nearly all media diet related information, the grocery industry, and consumers who can’t think critically.
Today nearly all consumers, businesses, medical professionals, and government employees desire fruit, whole grains, nuts, sweets, and low-fat foods while shunning red meat. They refuse to believe a diet restricted to grass-fed meats, omega-3 meats, wild-caught seafood, and green leafy vegetables optimizes health. Instead, if they care, they worry about harmful contaminants while they ignore food chemistry which is most important.
Diets high in Omega-6 and low in Omega-3 are associated with bipolar disorder and sufferers often require safe spaces to maintain a semblance of sanity. Requiring safe spaces plus their violent reactions to invasions of their safe spaces are symptoms of bipolar disorder. College students have notoriously bad diets, probably similar to the professor’s diet. Interestingly, because my newsletter invaded the professor’s safe space he cut himself off from the world’s only commercially available Omega-3 chicken and pork. Where’s the logic?
To your health.

This is a questionable narrative: Omega-3 fatty acids alone are not a good treatment for bipolar disorder.
These reports indicate that lowering the EFA ratio shows considerable promise.
