UK “Brexit” Vote = FREEDOM
Column #46
How does Britain’s Brexit vote relate to health and disease? Let me count the ways, but first some background.
Yesterday a majority of Brits decided to take their country back. They demanded more freedom by rejecting a distant layer of government. Some government is a positive thing, but there comes a point where each layer is another yoke on the working class. We are seeing this same phenomenon in America too. People are growing tired of the many decades of more government, more debt, and more hidden agendas that benefit only the elitist minority to the detriment of the working majority.
Very few people realize how really insidious the relationship is between the executive/legislative branches of government and our central bank. Politicians, many of whom are corrupt to the core, control our money and our financial destiny. They (and their backers) have their own short-term objectives that become long-term burdens on the working majority. The debts–public and private–that politicians craft and promote have created an environment of financial risk for all citizens that is unprecedented in scope. What was considered to be flagrant violations of monetary trust only 55 years ago is now standard practice.
I know this because in 1962 I was taught the differences between good banking practices and misguided policies that lead to financial ruin. One text I was required to read was “The Federal Reserve System Purposes & Functions” published by the Federal Reserve. The more recent editions differ significantly from that 1961 edition by teaching practices that were condemned as destructive in the original editions.
Just as government abuses restrict our financial freedoms, so does chronic disease.
So how free are you? Unless your essential fatty acid profile is well under 4:1, you are not free. If you are under a doctor’s care for any one of thousands of chronic diseases, you are not free. If you need prescription medicine you are not free. If you are being told that you need operations for chronic diseases, you are not free.
Why? Because when people depend on the healthcare system for survival, they are slaves to that system. Already 18% of our nation’s gross domestic product goes for healthcare. Of that, about 80% is to treat chronic disease. This is a like a HUGE TAX on all Americans.
Even when you are not seeing a doctor, but are still burdened with minor chronic diseases such as rashes, joint pain, gut issues, dandruff, mild asthma, being overweight, etc., you are not free. That’s because your quality of life is compromised.
