What is the proprietary blend?
The proprietary blend we use for our pork & chicken, is a specialized formula that helps create the Omega-3 to the Omega-6 ratio in our product.
What is the Omega-3 ratio?
2-1 Two parts Omega-6 to One part Omega-3.
Can you prove your Omega-3 ratio?
Yes. Bryce the owner has the testing done on our meat from Doug Bibus that shows all the information, and Bryce can give you the info if the customer asks.
What vaccinations do you give your animals?
The cattle are given a respiratory vaccine at birth to keep the other cattle from getting sick. They are also given a mineral in their food to eat that has garlic in it, to keep the flies away when they want it. The water buffalo are strictly raised grass fed/grass finished, with no vaccinations. The only thing they receive is hay, grass, and the option to lick a white salt block. The pigs are raised with what they refer to as
"responsible use" antibiotics. Meaning, we only use antibiotics when the veterinarian recommends.
What breed of cattle/all animals do you raise?
For cattle, we use black and red Angus. There isn't a specific type of water buffalo.
Do we raise the animals on the ranch?
Not right now, but we are in the process of making that happen.
Can we visit the ranch?
No, we currently do not have a ranch, but again we are in the process of making that happen. When we start raising them ourselves, we will allow visitors.
What do we feed our pigs, chickens, goats, and lambs?
The pigs and chickens are fed a proprietary Omega-3 blend. The lambs and goats are grass fed.
Is there corn/soy in our pork and chicken?
Very little, but yes
Can people eat our pet food?
Yes they can.
Does pet food have to be cooked?
No, but it can be though.
Are there ground up bones in our pet food?
Not in the beef pet food, but there is in the chicken mince.
Where is the meat raised?
Everything but our lamb and goat, is raised in the USA. Our Beef is raised in Kansas, our Water Buffalo is raised in Arkansas, our Chicken is raised in Pennsylvania, our Seafood is fresh caught out of the ocean, our Pork is raised in Kansas, our Lamb is raised in New Zealand, and our Goat is raised in Australia.
Since Ted's retirement, is meat going to be the same?
Yes, but now we require more out of our suppliers, and hold them to a higher standard to insure quality and to ensure we are selling what we promote.
Why is the product now being shipped from Kansas?
Ted, the previous owner sold the ranch, and we are temporarily using a shipping facility out of Kansas to ship our products until we can move our shipping operations back to Texas soon.
What is the shipping cost?
The cost of shipping is free, as long the order is 18lbs, and $100.00. Anything under 18lbs has a small order handling fee of $20.00.
How will my package arrive?
Your order is shipped in a cardboard box with insulation. We put 10lbs of dry ice inside the box, which drops the internal temperature of the meat down, way below freezing, to keep your product frozen on the trip. When your package arrives, the dry ice will likely have already evaporated, and your meat should be frozen or below 40F.
How is the package shipped?
Thru UPS or FedEx.
Do we have to sign up for a subscription?
No, you do not. We are planning on offering a subscription plan in the future. Is that something you would be interested in?
Why are you better than organic?
Organic is a very easy labeI to obtain, and essentially doesn't mean much. We have a specialized feed formula that our pigs and chicken receive. Our cows are 100% grass fed and grass finished. That's what makes us beyond organic.
Why should I buy from you?
We have been in this game since 1999. We were ahead of the health craze, and have stayed in business through the years. We are the exclusive provider of Omega-3 chicken and pork, no subscription required.

Kind of, our cows are hung for 10 days to make them more tender, and bolden their flavor.

Why does the website say 5-8 days for shipping?
When we say 5-8 days for shipping, what we mean is 5-8 days from the time of your order until you receive your order. Barring a shipping mistake. We are only shipping Monday-Wednesday to limit the probability of the product sitting in a UPS truck, or warehouse over the weekend, to make sure your product arrives in good condition.
Why does the Omega-3 chicken smell weird?
They are fed a specialized feed formula that creates the 2:1 Omega -6 to Omega -3 ratio, which makes the chicken smell interesting. The product is completely fine, and tastes amazing. It happened to be one of our best sellers.
Are our chickens acid washed?
They are exposed to Peracetic acid during water immersion for antibacterial intervention.
Why do we give a respiratory vaccine?
So if a calf is born with a respiratory infection, it cannot carry back and infect the whole herd.

Good tasting meat! Not overly porky, but just the way fresh pork should be.
I ordered a couple years ago and back then, the meat was in big chunks, and only 2 lb bags. Plus it had an excessive amount of blood in there. Now, its in 1 lb bags. I only ever use 1 lb at a time so 2 lb bags were a waste. Cut into proper stew meat so I dont have to cut it up more, and without excessive blood. Some, sure, but no more than I'd expect and easily drained from the bag. Good Job, Slanker!
