Grass-Fed Buffalo is rarely sold in grocery stores. Most of the buffalo meat sold in America is from feedlot buffalo that are fed exactly like feedlot cattle. We only offer grass-fed buffalo because there are major measurable nutritional differences between grass-fed and grain-fed livestock. Grass-fed meats are more nutrient dense which is why they have stronger flavors and darker-colored meat. The essential fat ratios (the fats that actually matter) of grass-fed meats are always close to 1:1 while grain-fed meats are usually about 15:1.
