Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) are neurodevelopmental disorders that impact quality of life and have significant psychiatric comorbidities. ADHD is estimated to affect 5.29% of children globally. The 2014 US National Health Statistics Report indicated an overall 2.24% prevalence of ASD, nearly doubled from 1.25% annual prevalence identified by 2011–13 data.
