Green Bean Delight

A very flavorful Omega-3 Pork-Based side dish the whole family will enjoy.


4 strips Omega-3 Pork Bacon chopped
2 Tbsp bacon grease
½ cup onion chopped, white or purple
1 can green beans, about 15 ounces, or 15 ounces fresh cut green beans

The Glaze:
2 large cloves garlic minced
¼ cup honey
2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 Tbsp macadamia nut oil

Optional: sweet potatoes (pre cooked), asparagus, cauliflower, broccoli, Brussel sprouts.


1. In a medium skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Remove from the pan.
2. Drain bacon grease, leaving two tablespoons in the pan.
3. Add the onions, cook until translucent or just tender.
4. Drain the liquid out of the canned green beans or cut fresh green beans into one-inch pieces.
5. Mix all ingredients for the glaze together.
6. Add the green beans (fresh or canned) and the glaze into the pan with the onion.
7. Cook until beans are done to your liking.
8. Add bacon back into the pan. Stir to combine.

Serve with your favorite meat. In this case Omega-3 Pork Loin was a perfect fit.
