1. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly browned but only slightly crisp. Drain and save grease, leaving a small amount in the skillt for later use.

1. Place pork roast in crock pot. Add water and seasonings on top.2. Cook covered for four to five hours on high or eight to 10 hrs on low.3. Check meat to see if it is tender at four hours (high) or eight hours (low). Once it is tender shred it with a fork and put it back in the juice and cook for 4 to 60 minutes.
